How Many Acupuncture Treatments Will I Need?

As an Acupuncturist, one of the most common questions I get asked is, “how many treatments will I need?”.  The answer to this question depends on many different factors, which I address through a variety of questions:

Question One: How Long Have You Had this Need?

For new or acute issues, only 2-4 sessions are needed to completely resolve the problem. However, if you’ve had an issue for decades, don’t be surprised that it may take 10+ treatments.

How is Your General Overall Health?

If you are healthy in general, your body has the potential to heal and repair itself within the given time frame by using it resources. But, if you’ve got numerous health issues going on simultaneously, your body’s resources are more easily consumed. In this case, it may take some more time to heal.

How Responsive is Your Body to Acupuncture?
    1. Some people get instant acupuncture and others may respond slower to the treatment. Most people fall somewhere in the middle. The best way to observe how your body reacts to acupuncture, is to GET ACUPUNCTURE! After a few sessions, we’ll be able to assess of how many sessions you’ll need.
