Food as Medicine: Get Healthy This Spring

It’s safe to say: food is powerful. Food fuels us, it gives us energy, brings life to our days, and makes us feel good. Food is also complicated. To be quite blunt, we're tired of everyone not feeling good about themselves. Life is too short for us all not to be feeling ourselves. We should be our biggest fans! But sometimes taking care of our bodies gets pushed to the wayside, and needless to say, we feel...kind of down on ourselves. No matter where you are at with your health, self love is numero uno. We all deserve to feel good. So helping people do just that has become our top priority. We created Prescribe Nutrition simply on that notion - for you to feel your best.

Here’s some of the top rules we like to live by:

  1. What works for one person, doesn’t necessarily work for everyone (aka: you). Sure you knew that, right? But it’s important to hear it. We can so easily get caught up in fads and trends but we work to help help uncover what works best for you. How do we do it? We help you understand the options -  the good, the the not-so-good and the most important - what makes them different. If you’ve ever wondered - should I eat dairy? Is gluten bad for me? These are solid questions because the answer is they are fine for some and not for others! We help connect those dots.
  2. Life should be fun, don’t let eating healthy weigh you down. It feels like a bit of an oxymoron but it’s the truth. It’s how so many individuals feel about cleaning up their diets -  stressful and overwhelming. Change can be hard but we help diffuse the stress and make it fun. At the end of the day, we want you to be able to enjoy the most out of delicious food and social situations, but to do so in a way that leaves you feeling tip top and empowered. Yes - this is possible!
  3. We see what we want to see. Ponder on that. We know full well that’s like - when your friend grimaces and pleads for you not to post a photo...ane all the while you want to shake her because she looks amazing (and may I say, vice versa). We see what we want to see, this is the plain truth. So, please for the love of all that is good… let’s start seeing our beauty.
